McDowell County Schools uses ParentLink for our Parent and Community Communication. ParentLink allows us to send voice notifications, text messages, emails, and push notifications to your iPhone or Android smartphone.
I am an Employee
In late summer or early fall, ParentLink will pull your information from PowerSchool. Please check with your school to mak sure you infromation is correct in PowerSchool. We will no longer use the Google form to update your account.
I am a Parent
Contact information for Parent Notifications is automatically synced each night from PowerSchool. If you are not getting notifications, please contact the school with your updated information. We are currently exploring Parent Accounts. If you would like to beta test a parent account, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
I am a Student
We are currently exploring mulitple ways to add your contact information to ParentLink.
I am a Community Member
Even if you are not a employee, parent, or student you can still get our notifications. First, you can create a ParentLink account. We send notifications via email, voice phone calls and text messages. Please remember, we often make weather related calls between 5 and 6 AM. You can create an account at the by visiting http://mcdowell.parentlink.net/
Second, if you have an iOS device (iPod, iPhone, or iPad) or Android device, you can download the McDowell App.
